	Technical Staff

	The technical staff of The Ferreira Group has considerable expertise in HVAC design, energy management, construction, automation systems, balancing and commissioning. They have strong real-world, hands-on knowledge and experience with energy efficient technology and renewable energy installation. 	John J. Lembo, LEED^® AP

	Vice President / Managing Director Mr. Lembo has over 22 years experience in energy management, engineering facilities management and mechanical construction. In his current role as Vice President and Managing Director for The Ferreira Group, he is responsible for the oversight of the company’s core business as well as development of new business models. In his previous position, Mr. Lembo served as Sr. Director of Energy for Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc., one of the world’s largest lodging and lifestyle companies. There he developed and managed the comprehensive energy management initiative that has been recognized by the Environmental Protection Agency’s Energy Star Program with the Partner of the Year Award for Excellence in Energy Management for 2002 and 2003. Mr. Lembo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY. He is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE). Mr. Lembo is a LEED© Accredited Professional specializing in LEED for existing buildings. He has published articles in HPAC Engineering and Boiler Systems Engineering magazines and has been a featured speaker at NAESCO, EEI, BOMA, EPRI, E-Source, AEE and many other industry conferences on subjects such as comprehensive energy management, combined heat and power, energy information systems, sustainability and supply side energy procurement. Mr. Lembo also sits on the editorial advisory board of both HPAC Engineering magazine and Distributed Generation magazine.


	Edward Brzezowski, P.E., LEED^® AP

	Director of Engineering, The Ferreira Group Executive Vice President and Founder, Noveda Technologies™ Edward H. Brzezowski is the Director of Engineering for The Ferreira Group and Executive Vice President and Founder of Noveda Technologies™. He is a nationally recognized executive-level, Professional Mechanical Engineer with over 30 years of experience. Mr. Brzezowski has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from New Jersey Institute of Technology and is a registered Professional Engineer in New Jersey and New York and a LEED Accredited Professional. He is a member of ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) and the Building Commissioning Association (BCxA), with expertise in computer technologies, energy management, building management systems and commissioning. He holds a U.S. patent for boiler optimization of multiple plants and is a co-inventor of Noveda’s proprietary technologies. Mr. Brzezowski engineered the first Net Zero Electric Commercial Building in the United States and serves as the Lead Commissioning Engineer on the new World Trade Center Transportation Hub. He is also a contributing author to various engineering trade publications.


	Brian F. Matyola, NEBB, SCA

	Field Operations Manager Mr. Matyola has over 27 years experience in the HVAC industry. His expertise is in Building Systems Commissioning. He is skilled in the analysis and assessment of building facilities, detecting deficiencies and identifying potential energy saving opportunities relating to mechanical, electrical and water consuming fixtures. Mr. Matyola is a member of the Building Commissioning Association (BCA) and is a certified National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB) Systems Commissioning Administrator. He currently serves as the Vice-Chairman of the Mid-Atlantic Environmental Balancing Association (MAEBA) technical committee. He is Star Certified by the Mechanical Contractors of America (MSCA) and holds a universal license in Refrigerant Handling.


	Robert J. Ulis, NEBB CP, SCA

	Field Operations Manager Mr. Ulis has over 22 years experience in the HVAC and controls industry. His experience is in commissioning, project management, maintenance management and field installation, service and repair. He is skilled in the analysis and evaluation of building systems efficiency and the development and implementation of cost-saving operational and maintenance strategies. He is a member of the National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB) and is a certified Testing and Balancing Supervisor and a certified Building Systems Commissioning Supervisor. He is a member of the technical committee of the Mid-Atlantic Environmental Balancing Association (MAEBA) and is Star Certified by the Mechanical Service Contractors of America (MSCA).
