LEED New Building Commissioning

The Berkshire is a new residential building, containing 93 homes, located in Hoboken, New Jersey, where LEED certification is required for all new buildings in the city.

Fundamental Commissioning is a prerequisite for any building certified under the LEED-NC (New Construction) Green Building Rating System (EA Prerequisite 1). This prerequisite requires that the owner designate an independent Commissioning Authority (CxA) to lead, review, and oversee the completion of the commissioning process activities.

The Ferreira Group has been engaged as Commissioning Authority (CxA) for the entire project. Our experts are in the process of verifying that the building’s energy-related systems are installed, calibrated, and perform according to the owner’s project requirements, basis of design and construction documents.

We are currently working on this project and will have more updates in the future, be sure to check back soon.
